Let me tell you about a beautiful shop in the picturesque little town of Healesville in Victoria. This particular shop, called
The Mud Factory is run and owned by my Swedish friend Julia and her husband Gregg. They opened the store in 2008 and stock some wonderful Scandinavian home ware, linen, ceramics and the most spectacular Swedish vintage pushbikes ever. These gorgeous bikes practically beg you to pack your picnic basket and take off on a peaceful, winding country road with the birds chirping and the sun warming your face. You can also rent them for the day at the Mud Factory so all you need to do is to get that lunch organised!
Ever since I known Julia she has always been very creative and now she has found an outlet with her unique pottery. Her work is full of personality and show a strong influence from her Scandinavian heritage with clean lines and confident designs. My personal favourites is her quirky and eye catching garden decorations, mugs and bowls. Check out more of her work

The Mud Factory is located at 29 Hunter Rd, Healesville, which is just an hour’s drive from Melbourne. Open Fri – Sun 10am-5pm.
