Vigga Svensson is the woman behind the Katvig™ children’s clothes that have become an instant classic among parents around the world. When she got the idea for the clothes it was hard for her to reconcile her desire to protect the Earth with the production methods being used. That's why she began to use organic cotton and recycled polyester, made from used plastic bottles. She wanted her signature Apple prints and stripes to be as friendly as possible to the nature, to the people making it and to the children wearing it.
Vigga has also developed a transport system that saves enormous amounts of packaging. She is politically involved with the sustainable development, and has already had great success with putting her mark on the industry.
Her latest initiative is a cotton mill that would make Denmark completely free of the very polluting consumption of cotton we see today. Instead of the endless pollution of nature and environment, the cotton mill will make it possible to recycle all the cotton that is thrown away every year.
Recently, Vigga has launched what might be the most sustainable material eve, Recycled Organic Cotton (R.O.C. WEAR).
